Electric buses in Pakistan becomes first to Introduced in South Asia

Fawad Chaudhry the Minister of Science and Technology tweeted today about the new upcoming development. He wrote on Twitter that another milestone was achieved to said promise. Pakistan will become the first country in South-Asia after the start of this project, “Electric buses in Pakistan“.

As Fawad tweet, Daewoo Pakistan is set to the alliance with SkyWell Automobile to introduce electric buses in Pakistan.

Sky well is a Chinese vehicle manufacturing company and doing business in the industry for more than 20 years and considered world leaders in the transport industry.

Fawad Chaudhry shared the photo of the invitation by Daewoo Express and said this is a major step towards fulfilling his promise to the nation. He also told that these buses will be available to run on our roads by this year and in the next three years, it will also be manufactured here at Pakistan. Electric Buses will run in two cities of Pakistan at Islamabad and Lahore.

By starting the Electrical Buses Transport System, Pakistan will become the first South Asian country to introduce an environment-friendly transport system.

Pakistan’s first-ever electric vehicle EV charging station also established in Islamabad. The government initially planned to establish 24 more EV charging stations across the country.

Zubair Warraich is an automobile industry expert in Pakistan. He said that the company initially investing the US $30 billion to acquire these buses. He also wants to improve local transport infrastructurePakistan. The current investment of this joint venture will not only give a boost to the country’s economy but will also generate new employment opportunities.
