We use a lot of apps every day, some of which we use for entertainment like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, etc. Also, we use our bank, office, or school and college apps. The design of many apps is very simple and very easy to use, and some apps are very attractive and very difficult to understand, but still, none of us take the initiative to improve it or give any alternative app. We often listen to or watch on news television the Student Designed University App for their final projects but here we are discussing and sharing the different perspectives of students.
But a student of a university in Islamabad disliked his university’s mobile app and not happy with its new version.
So he created a new one which is an attractive, modern, and easy app at the first impression in his demo images and illustration.
Yes, this is what NUST student Muhammad Obaid has done.

Designing an app is a very difficult and complex step. Developers keep in mind users’ needs and want while creating an app. All the elements and features of any app are made very simple and easy. So that the user can easily understand and use it without any difficulty.
If any user is not happy with your app UI or does not understand its functionality then you will have to lose your valuable user and money.
Student Designed University App
Keeping all these factors in mind, Muhammad Obaid redesigned his university app, which is currently very attractive to look at. Sounds simple and modern.
Muhammad Obaid is a final year student of Software Engineering.

Obaid wrote on his Facebook wall that NUST has made some changes to its new version of the mobile app which seems good. But there are still some shortcomings that I have tried to eliminate.
Now let’s see how the university encourages such students.
This is a real example of how we can change perception not just by disagreeing. But through practical work that stands out. Ubaid has also created an interactive Figma prototype for its application which can be used here.
