PTA Block Stolen Mobile System LSDS Launched

PTA has launched a new automated “Lost and Stolen Device System” to block lost, stolen, and snatched mobile phones.

According to PTA twitter Post, a new system has been implemented to block stolen and lost mobile phones. In this regard, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has said that to block lost, stolen, and snatched mobile phones. The new Automatic “Lost and Stolen Device System” (LSDS) has been launched.

How to block Mobile Phone Online?

The PTA says the new system will be helpful for users who want to block mobile phones in case they are stolen, snatched or lost, to prevent potential misuse of their mobiles. You can apply to PTA to block the IMEI of such phone sets.

According to the PTA, LSDS is an automated system, and the PTA’s device is integrated with the Identification Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS), for the registration of stolen mobile phone complaints and the necessary verification. It will be blocked within 24 hours. Users can apply for phone blocking to PTA through the online complaint management system (CMS) available on the PTA website. For more information and questions, visit the PTA Consumer Support Center (CSC) can be contacted on toll-free number 0800- 55055 (7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm).

Upon successful registration of the blocking application, the applicant will be provided a reference number. In case of finding a lost phone, the complainant will have to follow the same procedure for blocking them through CMS. Also, other necessary details have to be provided, which they provided when blocking the mobile phone, after the mobile phone is locked, the user will receive an SMS to the number provided.
