The Saudi Ministry of Health on the occasion of Saudi National Day awarded Pakistani Dr. Shehzad Ahmed Mumtaz for his outstanding performance in the kingdom during the Corona epidemic and presented certificates of appreciation. Saudi Arabia appreciated Pakistani doctor for COVID19 services in the Kingdom.
Saudi Arabia appreciated Pakistani doctor
According to Arab media, Pakistani doctor Shehzad Ahmed Mumtaz is in charge of the intensive care unit (ICU) at King Salman Hospital and is also leading the medical team fighting coronavirus-related disease COVID-19.
“The COVID-19 mortality rate in international ICUs is about 30 percent. However, every serious patient is shifted to these units. However, we just have 10 percent mortality for the last five months at the King Salman Hospital”, he said.
First Green Hospital of Saudi Arabia
Saudi Health Ministry honored us with a lot of appreciation. These things help us to facilitate general patients who were suffering due to pandemic.

I did not take any off day during the pandemic. Similarly, work around 20 hours daily in the hospital.
Dr. Mumtaz told that with the help of his team with good management and using advanced techniques, they have been succeeded to bring down the mortality rate in the Kingdom. Therefore, he’s got the appreciation from the health ministry.
“our hospital was converted to a first green hospital (non-COVID) in the kingdom on first September”.
Mumtaz explained
Dr. Shehzad’s team against epidemics has done a remarkable job in eradicating the rising mortality rate from corona in the hospital and succeeded in making the hospital the first corona free hospital.
Saudi Arabia honored the best Leadership Award
The Saudi Ministry of Health awarded the Best Leadership Award by recognizing his leadership abilities and medical expertise. Similarly, honored Certificate of Appreciation during a ceremony held on the occasion of Saudi National Day.
Dr. Shehzad Ahmed Mumtaz belongs to Layyah which is a backward area of South Punjab.
He arrived in Saudi Arabia 18 years ago and took up the post of ICU in-charge at King Hospital. In addition, he is fulfilling important responsibilities in various hospitals.
