We at Lok Virsa have been hard at work to put together a stream of events that showcase and promote the pluralistic values of Pakistan’s rich cultural legacy. Over the last several months our main focus has remained on an engagement of youth and masses through entertainment programming which connects them with our rich culture and traditions of hundreds of years through modern techniques of fusion music, video production, event design and social media engagement. We are very pleased to announce that as a result of our consistent efforts in this direction,and a tremendous support from the provincial governments, we are able to organize Lok Mela in Karachi. This is also a result of our partnership with I Am Karachi . The Karachi Lok Mela 2017 is to be a flagship event of their six-weeks long Revival of Music Festival I Am Karachi Music Festival

Karachi Lok Mela 2017 will officially kick-off and lead this important festival which will serve the city and the country in terms of creating platform to allow artists, musicians and singers to perform freely, harnessing the hidden musical talent of the country as well as in combating the threat of extremism.

We cordially invite all our friends to join us in Karachi for fun-filled two days of celebrations on 11th and 12th of November, in Karachi Arts Council, as Lok Mela will spread it’s traditional festivities , in the largest city of Pakistan. This is an exciting event for Lok Virsa as Lok Mela becomes part of an historic movement to restore the culturally aesthetic and musically vibrant position that has always been associated with Karachi.
