Facebook disabled its most popular app which was designed for rural areas and low poor connections users. As per media reports, Facebook has discontinued support and available for downloading its Facebook lite app due to limited its adoption. The main motive to launch this app was social connectivity for low storage cell phones and having a poor internet connection. The main difference of both app lite version and the original app is Lite app consumed 8-9MB other than 250+MB consumed the original app. The Facebook lite app provided the same features but with some restriction to use smooth and fast like it never plays videos in the background or auto-playing features and not showing high resolution I’m, ages to consume low data.

When many users complained then Facebook spokesperson confirmed that the Facebook lite app has been disabled and the Facebook team is working to improve the user experience for the apps.

Facebook removed it from the App store. When someone searches the app on the store they couldn’t find this but only the original Facebook app appeared in search results. It has been noticed that currently, it has been disabled for iOS users and still available for android users, and Facebook has not confirmed to disabled this app for Android users.
