Web Desk (24 News) — City News Network is proud to launch ROHI NEWS Channel, the first Saraiki news channel of its kind, after success of City 42, Channel 24, City 41 and UK 44. The latest addition to the City News Network will go on-air soon. The channel will provide special coverage on Southern Punjab region in addition to nationwide news.
Rohi News Channel will be aired in Saraiki in addition to Urdu language. This will mark a new chapter in history of Pakistani media as Rohi will be the first Saraiki news channel to go on air.
The newly launched channel will provide a voice to people of Southern Punjab and will help masses get their concerns voiced on a national-level TV channel.

It is pertinent to mention here that Rohi went on-air in 2008 for the first time to provide Saraiki-speaking populace news and entertainment in their own language.
The word ‘Rohi’ derives its roots from Saraiki, meaning ‘desert’.
It is said that Saraiki is one of derivatives of Punjabi language as both share same sentence structure, phrases and meanings of various words.
