Here is a great opportunity for people to pursue a Ph.D. in the UK. Commonwealth Scholarship 2021 | HEC Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarship 2021.

Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarships are for candidates from undeveloped countries. And fragile states in the Commonwealth, to undertake full-time doctoral study at a UK university.

HEC UK Scholarships

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarships. These are offered under giving development themes:

1. Science and technology for development.
2. Strengthening health systems and capacity.
3. Promoting global prosperity.
4. Strengthening global peace, security, and governance.
5. Strengthening resilience and response to crises.
6. Access, inclusion, and opportunity.
7. LUMS National Outreach Program Scholarships 2021

Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarship

This is a big opportunity for people interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in the UK. It funds a broad range of fields with a very generous stipend (student + dependents).
Fee: Rs. 400/-

Who is Eligible to Apply:

• Pakistani/AJK national.
• MS/MPhil/MA with first division.
• Not already enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

Funding:
Tuition fees, stipend (£1,116/month out of London, £1,369/month in London; for spouse add £240. First child add £240, 2nd child add another £118), airfare, travel grants. Such generous support is quite unique.

HEC Commonwealth Ph.D. Scholarship

Commonwealth PhD Scholarships (for least developed countries and fragile states)

Submit TWO online applications:

1. HEC Submit Scan of Challan of Rs. 400 on this link.
2. Commonwealth

Supporting documents can be submitted by Feb 1st to Commonwealth. Hardcopies for HEC to be submitted by shortlisted candidates only.

HEC Scholarships 2021

Process:

• Submit both applications by Jan 18th.
• Submit supporting documents online to Commonwealth portal by Feb 1st.
• Sit HEC test (I imagine this will be a GRE type aptitude test). This can be prepared to improve chances.
• If nominated; submit hard copies of documents to HEC.
• Sindh Government Teaching Jobs 2021

Selection Criteria:

• Academic merit
• Quality of the research proposal
• The potential impact on the development of Pakistan
• Approx 30 students will be nominated after the test by HEC from Pakistan.
• Commonwealth will make the final selection of 10 students.
