On the 92nd birthday of Banu Qudsia, Google Pakistan launched a special doodle to pay tribute to her. Bano Qudsia Birthday Doodle Celebrated Today in Pakistan.
Google wrote in its doodle press release that today’s doodle respects the life and legacy of Pakistani novelist and stage and television playwright Bano Qudsia. Bano Qudsia, also known as Bano Aapa (elder sister), is one of the most famous and important figures in the Urdu language even in modern times.

Bano Aapa was born in Ferozepur, India. Bano Qudsia has been fond of writing since childhood and she used to write short stories. After the formation of Pakistan, his family migrated from India to Lahore. Bano Qudsia obtained her master’s degree in Urdu from Lahore.

Bano Aapa got immense fame from her TV drama “Aadhi Baat” and her novel “Raja Gidh”. Also, she wrote a creative 25 novels and started her journal called “Dastango”.
The Government of Pakistan awarded Banu Apa with “Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 1983” and “Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2000” for her work in the Urdu language. Both are Pakistan’s Highest Civilian Honor.
