This Year Pakistan celebrated Children’s Day 2020 with full passion and across the country. Friday 20th November Pakistan lights up around its 30 major iconic monuments with blue color with the world.
Every city from Karachi to Khyber, Quetta, and Punjab is lightened with the occasion of the awareness of Children’s Rights.
UNICEF started celebrating November 20, 1989, as International Children’s Day. Pakistan joined the convention the following year.
International Children’s Day also initiates to listen to the voices of children, teenagers, and young people as they are asked to listen to important issues related to them and to involve young people in decision-making to address them.
The coronavirus crisis is a crisis of children’s rights. We are facing a crisis of losing our race. We must all work together to prevent this crisis because the global epidemic poses a risk of irreparable damage to the education, nutrition, and well-being of children.
