HEC NATIONAL ESSAY COMPETITION IN CONNECTION WITH 70th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS. As part of 70th Anniversary Celebrations of Pakistan, the Higher Education Commission in collaboration with Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training has organized an Essay Competition among students of all recognised universities/DAIs of Pakistan.
TOPICS FOR HEC NATIONAL ESSAY COMPETITION
The topics for the competition are:
1- 70 Years of Freedom: Achievements and Failures
2- Role of Youth in Rejecting Extremism
3- Role of Youth in Promoting Peace, Tolerance and Interfaith Harmony
4- CPEC: Challenges and Prospects

انتہاپسندی کے خاتمے میں نوجوانوں کا کردار
امن، رواداری اور بین المذاہب ہم آہنگی کے فروغ میں نوجوانوں کا کردار
چین، پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری: مسائل اور امکانات
A student may write the essay only on one topic/language. All essays should be typed and must be between 2500- 3000 words.
The winners (both in English and Urdu) will be entitled to cash awards of:
First Prize: Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lac Rupees)
Second Prize: Rs. 75,000/- (Seventy Five Thousand Rupees)
Third Prize: Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand Rupees)

It is expected that the essay writer should suggest solution of the problems highlighted/discussed in the essay concerned.
HOW TO REGISTER?
The students should send entries through the concerned University/Institution, showing complete details i.e. name, father’s name, CNIC number, class, roll number, contact number, email address and a latest photograph. Essays will be checked for plagiarism, where entries showing more than 19 % will be disqualified. Soft copy of essay must also be sent at [email protected]
